WHAT IS UNMACC (Mine Action Coordination Centre)
Following an evaluation by UNMAS (United Nations Mine Action Service), the Mine Action Coordination Centre was established in 2002, under UN Security Council Resolution 1291 (2000) authorising the establishment of the UN Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo (MONUC).
