The United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon was today received in Jedda by the Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Royal Highness Prince Saud al Faisal. The meeting focused on international efforts to support Lebanon.
The Special Coordinator conveyed to the Foreign Minister the deep appreciation of the Secretary General for the very generous offer of urgently needed additional assistance from Saudi Arabia announced by former Prime Minister Hariri for the Lebanese army and security forces.
