Beni, 12 January 2011 - The Jordanian Special Forces (JSF) of the United Nations Stabilization Mission in D.R. Congo deployed at Beni, North Kivu province distributed school kits among the outstanding school children of the territory including some teachers as a goodwill gesture.

The ceremony which was organized at Mavivi Elementary School had selected best performing students from eight schools of Mavivi, Makehe, Ngite, Nzuma, Furaha, Ushindi and Kartusi in Beni territory.

The school kits handed over to two hundred school children by Colonel Al Smadi Abdel Salam, containing school bags, t-shirts, trousers, books, pens and caps, were meant to motivate and encourage students to work harder in their studies. A selected group of fifteen teachers from these schools were also presented with the gifts of appreciation for the hard work they are doing to educate children.
