MONUSCO Donates Prison Uniforms in Bunia

Bunia, 03 January 2011
- Prison guards at the Bunia Central Prison have been presented with new uniforms that makes them easily identifiable. In all twelve officers, two of them women, received the uniforms from MONUSCO Correction Unit.

The uniforms were bought with funds from UNDP-Ituri following a request from MONUSCO/Bunia Correction Unit.

They were handed over at a ceremony which marked the end of a training session on management, safety and order of prisons that was organised by MONUSCO Correction Unit on December 31. The training was attended by both prison guards and police officers involved in prison security.
