Report of the Secretary-General on the U.N Organization Stabilization Mission in the DR Congo


The present report is submitted pursuant to paragraph 43 of Security Council resolution 2211 (2015). It covers major developments in the Democratic Republic of the Congo since my report of 28 September 2015 (S/2015/741), including with regard to the situation on the ground and progress made by the Government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the implementation of its commitments under the Peace, Security and Cooperation Framework for the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Region; the electoral process; and progress made by the United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO) in the implementation of its mandate. The report also includes an update on the status of the strategic dialogue with the Government on the exit strategy of MONUSCO and related recommendations.
