Goma, Friday12 June 2026 – At the conclusion of his visit to Goma, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Head of MONUSCO, Mr. James Swan, reaffirmed the Mission’s continued engagement in support of peace efforts in eastern DRC, in line with MONUSCO’s mandate under United Nations Security Council resolution 2808 (2025).
