Kinshasa, 18 June 2026 – MONUSCO has learned with sadness of the death from Ebola of a subcontracted worker locally recruited in Bunia by a company under contract with the Mission. According to confirmed information, he had not worked in MONUSCO since 22 May 2026 and therefore had not been present on Mission premises for more than 21 days prior to the confirmation of the diagnosis.
MONUSCO extends its sincere condolences to the family, loved ones and colleagues of the deceased.
