Kinshasa, 15 May 2025 – The United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO) announces the conclusion of the transfer operation of over 1,300 unarmed members of the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (FARDC) and the Congolese National Police (PNC). This operation was carried out in close coordination with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), acting as a neutral intermediary.
