Durant le mois d’avril 2016, le BCNUDH a documenté 366 violations des droits de l’homme sur le territoire de la RDC, ce qui représente une baisse par rapport au mois de mars 2016 au cours duquel 410 violations avaient été enregistrées. Les provinces les plus touchées restent celles de l’Est de la RDC (269 violations et 489 victimes), et notamment les provinces du Nord-Kivu (121 violations), de l’Ituri (63 violations) et du Haut-Uélé (38 violations). Les provinces de l’Ouest du pays ont enregistré 97 violations des droits de l’homme ayant causé au moins 149 victimes. Les types de violations les plus rapportés au mois d’avril 2016 sont les atteintes au droit à la liberté et à la sécurité de la personne (121 violations et 386 victimes), les atteintes au droit de propriété (86 violations), les atteintes au droit à l’intégrité physique (82 violations et 158 victimes), et les atteintes au droit à la vie (51 violations et 65 victimes), dont 37 violations et 49 victimes d’exécutions sommaires et extra-judiciaires par des agents de l’État.
