Durant le mois de février 2016, le BCNUDH a documenté 332 violations des droits de l’homme sur le territoire de la RDC, ce qui représente une baisse par rapport au mois de janvier 2016 au cours duquel 411 violations avaient été enregistrées. Les provinces les plus touchées restent celles de l’est de la RDC (180 violations et 226 victimes), à savoir les provinces du Nord-Kivu (96 violations), de l’Ituri (46 violations), du Tshopo (15 violations), du Sud-Kivu (12 violations) et du Haut-Uélé (11 violations). Les types de violations les plus rapportées sont les atteintes au droit à la liberté et à la sécurité de la personne (101 violations et 281 victimes), les atteintes au droit à l’intégrité physique (81 violations et 116 victimes), les atteintes au droit de propriété (62 violations) et les atteintes au droit à la vie (47 violations et 56 victimes).
