MONUSCO and its partners carried out the transfer to Kinshasa of over 1,300 members of the Congolese army and police

MONUSCO and its partners carried out the transfer to Kinshasa of over 1,300 members of the Congolese army and police who had taken refuge in its bases in Goma since the end of January, completing a complex and sensitive operation.

For several years now, Congolese soldiers have regularly taken part in MONUSCO training courses on combat tactics, explosive ordnance disposal and civilian protection.

MONUSCO Trains 40 Congolese Soldiers in Mortar Handling in Ituri

On Friday, 16 May, forty-two Congolese soldiers completed a two-week intensive training on the use of mortars in Bunia, Ituri province.
