Bana Education: Distance learning for displaced children, with support from Radio Okapi

Spoken by over 200 million people in some 15 countries, including the DRC, Kiswahili embodies the power of multilingualism to promote diversity, tolerance, social cohesion and inter-regional cultural identity.

The Bunia court hosted the scenario of a mock trial organized on June 20 by MONUSCO to raise awareness of the effects of misinformation.

Dieumerci Kati, 34, stood accused of spreading a false rumor about poisoning on WhatsApp. Without any verification, the message quickly circulated across several groups, causing irreversible harm.

Bintou Keita visit in Goma

The Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General and head of MONUSCO, Bintou Keita, made a three-day visit to Goma, North Kivu, for consultations on the Mission's mandate.

Among the photos the public will discover at this year's Photoville Festival are those by Do Nsoseme, whose art promotes gender equality and encourages dialogue on the role of women in society in the Democratic Republic of Congo, his country of origin.
In New York, a Photo Exhibition Celebrates the Courage and Impact of Women in Peacebuilding

In addition to being a poet and slam artist, Congolese Do Nsoseme Dora is also a photographer. Her work, at the intersection of documentary and conceptual styles, often features staged scenes that challenge traditional gender roles.

A flare-up of violence erupted on July 21, 2025 in Lopa, about thirty kilometers north of Bunia, in the Bahema Baguru chiefdom.

Fataki: A Training Center to Reintegrate At-Risk Youth and Vulnerable Women

In a region still marked by insecurity, a joint initiative by MONUSCO and its partners offers a new perspective to one hundred beneficiaries in Fataki, in Djugu territory.
