Kinshasa, 23 July 2025– The United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the DR Congo (MONUSCO) strongly condemns the resurgence of violence observed during the month of July in Ituri Province, which has resulted in the deaths of dozens of civilians.l’Ituri, qui a causé la mort de dizaines de civils.
Alongside national forces and local leaders, MONUSCO is maintaining an active presence to prevent further violence and help stabilize the province.
In Fataki, the vocational training center illustrates the shared commitment to finding sustainable solutions to violence. It is now up to the communities, with the support of our partners, to turn it into a living space, driving transformation throughout the region.
During the training session, participants learned about key concepts such as gender equality, UN Security Council Resolution 1325 and the main national and international legal instruments on women's rights.
