Adopted in October 2000, Security Council Resolution 1325 emphasizes the disproportionate impact of armed conflict on women and girls, as well as the need for their participation in peace processes.

This workshop aimed to share best practices, identify challenges encountered, and update the mapping of armed groups active in the province.

This day was an opportunity to raise awareness among young girls about their rights, their potential, and their role in building a better future in their region.

Peacekeepers continue to patrol the area, both day and night, to maintain a deterrent presence and prevent any further attacks.

For the Commander of the Northern Sector, Brigadier General Md Saiful Alam Bhuiyan, this initiative reflects a dual objective: to strengthen the capabilities of the Congolese forces and enable them to deploy these skills independently and sustainably.
