For nearly four weeks, 180 soldiers from the Tiger Battalion and the FARDC Reconnaissance Company underwent accelerated training in forest combat.
This equipment is intended to strengthen the operational capacity of the Provincial Assembly, which was forced to relocate from Goma to Beni following the capture of Goma by the AFC/M23 in January 2025.
During a three-day meeting, 75 local stakeholders contributed to the validation of the plan, including the mayors of the five municipalities of Oicha, Mangina, Kyondo, Bulongo, and Lume, chiefs of chiefdoms and sectors, representatives of the National Intelligence Agency (ANR), and members of civil society.
