On December 18, the Ndoromo military camp on the outskirts of Bunia held a closing ceremony for troops who recently completed an  intensive training course designed to strengthen the operational capabilities of the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo (FARDC).

This equipment is intended to strengthen the operational capacity of the Provincial Assembly, which was forced to relocate from Goma to Beni following the capture of Goma by the AFC/M23 in January 2025.

The Provincial Assembly of North Kivu has received a donation of computer equipment and office supplies from MONUSCO.

During a three-day meeting, 75 local stakeholders contributed to the validation of the plan, including the mayors of the five municipalities of Oicha, Mangina, Kyondo, Bulongo, and Lume, chiefs of chiefdoms and sectors, representatives of the National Intelligence Agency (ANR), and members of civil society.
