KINSHASA, 18 March 2017 – MONUSCO expresses grave concern over reports of renewed violence in Kananga between 14 and 17 March 2017.
Durant le mois de février 2017, le BCNUDH a documenté 461 violations des droits de l’homme sur tout le territoire de la RDC, ce qui représente une hausse par rapport au mois de janvier 2017, au cours duquel 427 violations avaient été documentées.

The Secretary-General today released his report on Special Measures for Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse: A New Approach for consideration by the General Assembly.

KINSHASA/GENEVA (1 March 2017) – Defence and security forces in the Democratic Republic of the Congo used excessive, disproportionate and at times lethal force to prevent and contain demonstrations in December 2016, a UN report published today has found.
The members of the Security Council strongly condemned the violence witnessed in the Kasaï region over recent months.
