Kananga, 31 May 2013 - A training session for 300 senior and junior members of the Congolese National Police Force including 53 women ended on 31 May 2013 at a provincial police precinct in Kananga, Kasai Occidental province. Initiated by MONUSCO Police, the second training session on community policing techniques was launched on 6th November of last year.

The ceremony was chaired by Deller Kawino, the acting provincial governor. Political and administrative officials, police members, several partners and MONUSCO team lead by Alain Sitchet, the United Nations provincial coordinator in Kasai Occidental province attended the ceremony.

During the training, trainees were informed of their new posts they should join shortly.
