The United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the DRC (MONUSCO) delivered, on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, modern computer equipment to the Military Justice House of the Beni garrison (North Kivu).

This donation of computer equipment aims to improve the efficiency, transparency, and security of judicial procedures through the use of digital solutions.

The meeting, held in Beni-ville, brought together civil society representatives from Goma, Beni, Masisi, and Nyiragongo.

This initiative comes in the wake of the recent establishment of a temporary MONUSCO military base in the village of Kyabaganzi, not far from Boga.

During a visit to Ituri, the UN Under-Secretary-General for peace operations, Jean-Pierre Lacroix, called for concrete action to promote peace.

The MONUSCO firefighting unit is regularly called upon to intervene in several regions of the country where the Mission is present.

This introductory session aims to raise awareness among young lawyers in training about the United Nations agenda on Children and Armed Conflict (CAAC).

At the end of August 2025, the head of the United Nations Police Division, Faisal Shahkar, carried out a mission to the DRC to inquire about the progress of the reform of the Congolese National Police (PNC) supported by UNPOL.

The project, funded by KOICA for $6 million USD, was conducted in three provinces: Ituri, North Kivu, and South Kivu - provinces that have been plagued by armed violence for many decades.

In Ituri, MONUSCO has intensified patrols, deployed mobile operational bases, and conducted joint operations with the Congolese army.
