Young people from Tsere, a locality in Ituri, have harvested over two tons of watermelons as part of an agricultural project launched by Indonesian peacekeepers of MONUSCO.

The aim of this project is to replace weapons with farming tools, with the emphasis on profitable cultivation.

MONUSCO facilitators also presented community protection tools such as the Community Alert Network (CAN) and Local Protection Committees (LPC).

Thirty young people from various Bunia neighborhoods took part in a two-month first-aid training course organized in partnership with Bunia's general referral hospital.
