Bunia, 03 January 2011 - Prison guards at the Bunia Central Prison have been presented with new uniforms that makes them easily identifiable. In all twelve officers, two of them women, received the uniforms from MONUSCO Correction Unit.

North Kivu: MONUSCO peacekeepers build markets in Loufou and Kirumba

Goma, 19 December 2010 - MONUSCO peacekeepers of the Indian battalion (INDBATT) in North Kivu recently constructed two markets in the villages of Loufou and Kirumba. These villages are at 195 and 200 km respectively north of Goma.

Military Observers Promote Peace through Sports

Kinshasa, 19 December 2010 - MONUSCO Western Brigade Commander, Brig Gl Martin Owusu-Ababio, distributed 70 soccer balls to team site leaders who gathered in a symbolic ceremony in Kinshasa on 19 December to promote peace and unity among Congolese through sportsmanship.
